Copeland Elementary students participated in day 2 of Dr. Seuss Week. 1st Grade teacher, Mrs. Varela read One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish and students created their own fish aquarium project! 📖 🐟
8th thru 11th Grade students attended Reality U today at SGHS. They had the chance to participate in real life simulations about budgeting, parenting, marriage, and retirement to name a few of what was learned. Thank you to @realityuks for visiting our school and to the community members who participated as well! It was a great event.

South Gray Junior High Scholars Bowl traveled to Ashland tonight. Sponsor, Mrs. Hollingsworth stated, "The team went 4-7 and finished in the middle of the pack, but had tons of fun!" Way to go Rebels!
Copeland Elementary kicked off Read Across America/Dr. Seuss Week. Each day they will have an activity based around the Dr. Seuss book presented by a CES teacher! Mrs. Gala also has fun activities planned in the library! 📚
Since the 4th grade teacher forgot to remind students to bring $5 for concessions tomorrow, I'll post on here... 😬. Reminder grades 3-5 will be bowling tomorrow, Tuesday (Feb 27th). Please remind your child to wear their Rebel shirt and send $5 if you want your child to get something from the concessions.
SGJH students attended Leadership Conference in Sublette on Friday. These students continue to build and create positive relationships with peers from other schools and bring these tools back home to use at SGJH! Way to make us Rebel Proud! ⚔️ 💙
Congratulations to Erica Banman, performing in the All State Mixed Choir and Piper Klaker, performing in the All State Treble Choir at KMEA in Wichita on Saturday. They auditioned and were selected to perform along with students across the state of Kansas. They represented SGHS beautifully! Bravo! 🎶

Congratulations to the South Gray High School Band on receiving straight I ratings from all three judges today in Minneola at League Instrumental Contest. They performed beautifully today and should be very proud! 🎶
Sub-State games will begin later this week. First round games will be played at home sites. Semi-finals & championship games will be played at Pratt-Skyline High School. Streaming information will be shared closer to game day.
Congratulations to Mrs. Kisner on receiving the USD 476 Red Apple Award this morning at our faculty meeting. As Mrs. Lacy stated, "Our school could not run without her!" She does so much for her students and colleagues and she is very appreciated! She has put in many years of service at Copeland Elementary and is a valued educator in our district. 🍎
