Thank you!! From Mrs. Brown…Hi everyone! I’m so excited to show you what we earned from the book fair this year. We were able to get 47 books using our Scholastic Dollars rewards! I tried to purchase books for the emerging readers (1st grade-3rd grade), because of the lack of early chapter books in our collection. I have attached a picture of our newest editions to the library. 📚
USD #476 has openings for a 5th Grade Teacher and an Elementary/JH Music Teacher. If interested email jay@isd371.org.
Congratulations SGJH band! Once again, Mrs. Watkins nailed it!! You will be missed!🎼🎺

While reading “How to Eat Fried Worms” and studying earthworms, the 4th graders joined Mrs. Wall’s biology class to dissect earthworms yesterday. Thank you, Mrs. Wall and class. The student had a blast and learned more about earthworms.
Congratulations, Brady Deges!!

Each of the students listed will receive a $1,000 scholarship to help support their future endeavors.
Our applicants represented a total of 16 different counties – representing Western Kansas and Eastern Colorado. This was an extremely TOUGH decision for our selection committee. Thank you to all who applied; you are all wonderful young adults with bright futures ahead of you.
Western State Bank and American Implement are proud to continue investing in the future of agriculture in our areas by providing the annual AG Future Scholarship Program to eligible high school seniors and college students.
We will be featuring each of the scholarship winners in an individual post/video over the next few weeks. Stay tuned!

Grabbed a quick picture of the soloists! They sounded amazing! Great job! 🎶
So enthusiastic about our students and what is in store for them next year. IPS is such a great tool for our students and teachers. Although this process is NOT easy, it is so worthwhile to try to make it happen. Through conversations with students, we can taylor class offerings and instruction for each student. At SGHS, we have one student interested in investments and banking, another small group interested in agriculture, a larger group interested in heath sciences and of course, a group that is undecided on what they want to do which is perfectly okay too. These are just a few career interests of our kids. There are many more. Having conversations with them and having them share their goals and dreams is so rewarding especially knowing that we as teachers have the power to support them on this journey! When our students graduate, they will have a portfolio/ a living binder as such, full of pictures, shop projects, FACS activities, writing samples, science projects and other pieces of evidence to take with them documenting the projects they are completing in their classes and displaying what they can offer as an employee!
Thank you, Ty Theurer, and your staff for the amazing OVT visit yesterday and inspiring conversation to keep doing right by kids! ❤️
Had an OVT visit yesterday at South Central and I get a text from the golf coach at Ingalls wanting to know if our team was coming. Everyone was there, but us. I called Coach to see if they were on their way.. by these results, I guess they made it although maybe a little late! 🤔. Great job to all of the golfers and thank you Kindra for the post!!
