The Turkey Feather Fundraiser sponsored by the SGJH Student Council has been a success! Students purchased feathers for the teacher they wanted to wear the coveted Turkey suit all day before break! Mrs. Raine Torres was the lucky winner! Great job to all the students who participated! 🦃

C-Team, JV Girls, and Varsity Girls had huge wins over the Wildcats

South Gray 8th graders and Sophomores got the chance to participate in Reality U today at South Gray High School. Students spent the morning navigating different stations led by community volunteers that introduced them to real life scenarios in financial literacy. Students experienced the responsibility of managing money based on their incomes, having families, children, homeownership, purchasing a vehicle, insurance, and student loans,all while working their way towards a lucrative retirement.
The high school scholars bowl team has had fun competing this season so far! Team members pictured consist of Keagan Showalter, Jess Hollingsworth, Piper Klaker, Carter Granados, Joshua Froese. Not pictured: Cameron Wahl, Sam Moore, Paityn Klaker, and Melia Hixon. The team is coached by Shelby Axtell
South Gray Junior High Rebels hosted the South Central Timberwolves tonight!
Varsity Girls took the SC T-Wolves to overtime but came up short in a very exciting and close game
JV Girls and C Team girls won against South Central
Varsity Boys fought hard as well as the JV and C-Team boys, but ultimately came up short against the T-Wolves! All the Rebels played hard to the end and represented our school with Rebel Pride! ⚔️💙🏀
Today SGJH Cheerleaders led a fun Throwback Pep Rally which included retro uniforms, cheers, and a dance with South Gray Alumni! Also an exciting game of knockout with the teachers which came down to Mrs. McCarty and Mr. Faurot! Coach Faurot claimed victory! It's always a great day to be a Rebel!!! 💙⚔️🏀 📣
South Gray Junior High students attended a flag burning ceremony today presented by the Copeland American Legion. Students learned about proper disposal of the American flag when they become too weathered and tattered to fly. Thank you American Legion members for giving the students the opportunity to participate in this meaningful ceremony. 🇺🇸
On November 13, the Copeland Elementary 4th graders traveled to Wichita to attend Education Day with the Wichita Thunder Hockey team. Students participated in STEM activities as well as getting to interact with the Hockey players and see them play! It was a fun day had by all! 🏒

HSBB: There will be a HS BB parents meeting Friday 11/22. The girls will meet in the new gym, and the boys will meet in the cafeteria. Both meetings will start at 6:15pm.

It is that time of year again to purchase Poinsettias from the SGHS Cheer Team. This year they are $20 per poinsettia. We are looking at a December 9th delivery date.
